Salary - 28,000 - �35,000 Pension

The Company
ATA Recruitment is currently working with a FTSE 100 business who specialise in the bespoke design and manufacture of aerospace systems. They have specialist sites dotted across the globe and work with giants in the world of aerospace and aviation.
The site in Birmingham currently employs around 300 people and turnover 30million, they have a team of 7 or 8 who get involved in cradle to grave design and development projects working closely with high profile clients and liaising with design and manufacturing teams to provide a bespoke solution.

The Role
The Role Of Mechanical Project Engineer Will Involve
Becoming the technical lead for 1-2 projects at a time, projects are highly technical and could last between 2-5 years.
Reviewing a client's technical specification to understand exactly what they are trying to achieve.
Interpret technical requirements and put together an initial thermal design alongside the design engineers in order to understand what parts are needed and the overall cost.
Liaise with manufacturing teams.
Putting technical proposals together to present to client including all 3D drawings, parts required and manufacturing costs.
Once the contract has been awarded the Project Engineer will then liaise with the client throughout the milestones in order to deliver the system on time and to the right cost.
Liaising with test engineers to produce a testing schedule.
The project engineer is constantly in contact with the client to understand any technical changes that might need to be made, when the changes are made they will need to make sure the comply to industry standards.
The Person
To Be Successful As a Mechanical Project Engineer You Will Need
A degree or masters in a mechanically bias subject e.g. mechanical, automotive, aerospace etc.
A minimum of 2 years' experience within a technical engineering position, ideally this would be in a project based role.
Confident, outgoing individual who is happy to liaise technically with individuals at all levels.
