Regional HR Director Asia (Singapore)
[Description] DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role reports directly to the VPHR for Asia Pacific and works closely with the GVP Head of Operations for Asia to implement the talent strategy (in line with the business strategy and any regional talent strategy) across the group.
This could be addressing business needs in any areas reward, performance management, employee relations, or HR technology;
Provide effective HR advice, guidance and solutions to leaders across the group; always working within the necessary legal parameters;
Collaborate with country HR Managers and business leaders to design, implement and manage organizational development efforts in the Asia region that ultimately support the organization in achieving its goals;
Develop and deliver highly competitive HR services that anticipate and meet the needs of the organization;
Manage and enhance the performance management and improvement system; coach line managers on how to handle performance issues;
Provide strong leadership and support to the Group Vice President on talent management, talent acquisition, leadership succession planning, leading creative and innovative reward and benefits solutions;
Lead, develop and manage a high performing HR Team;
Review and provide advice during the development of annual staffing requirements and recommend changes within Asia offices;
Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, laws, industry trends, practices, and developments regarding HR and advise management and staff accordingly;
Ensure organization compliance with all applicable national in country labour laws and regulations.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
Must possess Professional HR qualifications and a Masters degree in Human Resource Management or related HR field is preferred;
Significant regional experience along with demonstrated leadership and people skills and knowledge of HR practices and employment legislation across a range of Asian countries;
A proven track record of delivering an excellent integrated and client/stakeholder focused strategic HR service in a large multi national engineering/technical/management consultancy;
Minimum 10 years experience in a regional (China, Malaysia Indonesia, Singapore, HK, Philippines) HR role at managerial level;
Experience working for a consultancy in the energy and/or infrastructure industry i.e. oil & gas, power, engineering, construction, etc.;
Willing to travel within the Asia region up to 50%;
Candidates must be locally based in Singapore.
