Responsible for the day to day accounting function of various units in our organization and will serve as a liaison between the field and the accounting team. Meets accounting operational and financial standards by providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data. Prepares financial reports, statements, and projections.
Essential Job Functions
- Meets accounting operational standards by contributing financial information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
- Meets accounting financial standards by providing accounting department annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
- Maintains cash flow by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements; investing excess funds.
- Approves cash disbursements by verifying check amounts against invoices, authorizing checks and wire transfers.
- Approves ledger entries by auditing transactions.
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
- Provide daily support to field operations by training operators to use and understand financial information and back office accounting systems.
- Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Skill Requirements
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Excel, particularly in use of “sum-if” and “v-lookup” formulas (use of macros is a plus)
- Working knowledge of SAP B1 is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Strong team orientation
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- At least five (5) years’ relevant accounting experience; preferably in a multi-unit environment
- Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
- Must be a quick learner and self-motivated
