Director of Legal Affairs

Responsibilities
This role will support our APAC business. Responsibilities will consist of working closely with the business, providing legal advice, drafting and negotiating legal documentation in a variety of areas, including:
E Commerce matters, such as marketplace website terms and conditions and product and service offerings;
Support for marketing initiatives;
Privacy and data protection;
Corporate and transactional matters, including support on business development and strategic transactions;
Regulations relating to our business, including short term rental regulations;
Employment matters; and
Procurement and other day to day business contracts.
Skills And Qualifications
Ability to deeply understand our business and strategic goals and to think creatively about the relevant legal issues and finding low risk solutions that achieve business initiatives
Ability to provide practical legal advice that internal clients can easily adopt and implement
Excellent listening, analytical and communication skills ability to digest complex information and be innovative in addressing new challenges
Must be able to work independently and be very comfortable with changing priorities in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent writing skills; must be detail oriented
Willingness to travel internationally
Work Experience & Education
Legal experience in many (or preferably all) of the areas listed above
7 years legal experience required large law firm plus in house experience in a multinational company preferred
Experience with e commerce or internet companies
Legally qualified to practice in Singapore and/or Australia
Fluency in English and additional languages are a plus
