To help support our rapid growth, we are currently seeking an ambitious Business Development Specialist who will strengthen our market presence in Ontario.
Under the supervision of the Sales Director, within the Business Development Team, the selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring significant profitable growth of the business within their territory by:
- Achieving growth and profitability targets of the company
- Establishing and monitoring regional/distributor priorities to maximize efforts and resources
- Executing developed strategies and maximizing revenues of the territory by developing the customer base using the full range of Gastronomia products
- Developing and fostering long-term business relationships with new and existing clients
- Forecasting consumption and maintaining dialogue with the operations team to help ensure 100% product availability
- Managing new product introduction process to ensure success
- Representing the company at trade shows.
Required Profile
- Exceptional people-skills and a knack for building lasting relationships
- Autonomous, passionate and very well organized
- Dynamic with exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Analytical with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Passion for gourmet cuisine
- Ability to travel up to 35 of the time
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of sales or brand management experience (alternatively, 5-7 years of culinary experience)
- Good knowledge and application of sales techniques
- Proven ability to manage targets and process
- Strong proficiency in technology based sales tools
Considered Assets
- Fluency in French
- Foodservice and/or frozen food retail sales experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing
- Experience with CRM tools (specifically SAP / Business One)
- Experience with forecasting techniques
