Sr. CPQ Business Analyst (Pricing Operations) HGST, a Western Digital Company - US-CA-San Jose

Job description


Responsibilities:
· As a member of the Business Enablement team within the Portfolio Management and Sales Operations organization, manage operations and administration of the CPQ (configure, price, quote) system

· Participate in design and implementation of initial system rollout as well as ongoing system enhancements

· Translate business requirements into technical capabilities within the CPQ tool

· Develop and manage policy and process documentation, including process and data flows, use cases, and test scenarios, as required. Identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvements.

· Provide ongoing support and training to CPQ users through creation and communication of training materials

· Act as the CPQ “Super User” for the organization and as the liaison between business users and IT

· Represent Pricing Operations as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cross-functional efforts where CPQ is involved

Qualifications

Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in pricing management, preferably across hardware, software, and service business models in a multi-tiered sales model

· Extensive experience managing an enterprise scale CPQ application required; experience with Oracle Big Machines, preferred.

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Expert-level knowledge of best practices with respect to CPQ and Quote-to-Cash process

· Proven expertise in systems implementation

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong business acumen, understands how actions and decision impact the business

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build relationships with internal customers

· Experience with Salesforce.com, SAP, Oracle, Lotus Notes, BIS, Essbase, Financial Planning tools, BI tools, etc. desired.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
