This Systems Analyst will join the Business Intelligence / Analytics team in one of the best and brightest Healthcare Information Technology departments in the country. The primary responsibilities of this analyst will be the ongoing development of the analytics platform for the entire health system. This position will take a lead development role on an ambitious project to build an analytics platform that incorporates data from Metro Health and its affiliates, vendors and payors. The result of this project will be a comprehensive analytics infrastructure that will revolutionize the way that Metro manages and cares for its patients. This position does require the ability to work on-site.
Our I.T. departments work at the Metro Health Innovations Center located down the road from the hospital at 985 Gezon Parkway.
Position Responsibilities
Under the direction of the manager of Information Technology, the System Analyst serves as a liaison between IT and assigned functional areas for all application and system related upgrades, implementations, maintenance and related issues. Functions in a project management and life cycle support capacity for intermediate to complex application/system projects. The position is responsible for providing pre/post implementation support to all designated associates during assigned projects and coordinates department liaisons and/or analysts for system enhancements including build, testing, and training. Responsible for the preparation of complete, standard systems' documentation and assists in the development of end user operating procedures to ensure all applications / systems operate in an effective and efficient manner.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Manage, collaborate, and coordinates all application and system enhancements, installations and upgrades for assigned systems.
Resolves complex questions and problems relative to IT processes and refers more urgent issues with higher levels.
Develops application specifications/profile toward completion of project management plans for assigned projects.
Manages intermediate to complex projects and applications in conjunction with the respective project sponsor, the project leader and the assigned goal team.
Coordinates with technical teams on the systems they support to meet user requirements and to incorporate system efficiency principles.
Assists in the development and implementation of platform-specific security controls.
Documents and manages all phases of application life cycle.
Collaborates with end-user department leadership and staff as appropriate to assure effective organizational and departmental operations.
Coordinates, develops, and leads training to facilitate the effective use of existing applications in assigned user departments.
Demonstrates familiarity with vendor/user documentation and workflows in areas assigned.
Maintains documentation regarding interactivity of applications within the assigned user department.
Assists user departments in resolving applications issues; coordinates resources in resolving application software and hardware issues.
Initiates application optimization strategies.
Supports users via on-call assignments and on-going after-hour support of assigned applications.
Performs other responsibilities and duties as with regular and predictable attendance.

Position Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on design and implementation expertise around data warehouse, data marts and business intelligence reporting data and the ETL sub systems
- Perform analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of Enterprise Reporting solutions under the direction of the IT Manager and Project Manager.
- Develop data warehouses, data marts, OLAP cubes, reports, and dashboards for BI Solutions
- Utilize the Business Objects Edge BI stack to present analytics to end users, including Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence, and Explorer.
- Design, maintain, monitor, and ETL solutions including SSIS to incrementally load Enterprise Data Warehouse and Enterprise Reporting systems.
- Maintain a current awareness of technological developments and trends as it relates to databases, development methodologies and tools, especially in the BI, Data Warehousing and ETL space
- Deliver high-quality solutions to business owners to ensure alignment of technical solution with business objectives
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Engineering or related field. Candidates with appropriate work experience will also be considered
- Ability to evaluate and interpret end user information requirements, and to develop and implement appropriate technical solutions
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Server 2008/2012 stack (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS) and Visual Studio BIDS
- Excellent knowledge of the SAP Business Objects BI toolkit.
- Solid ETL development, SSAS development, SSRS reporting experience all based off of intricate understanding of business process and measures.
- Creation & tuning of Stored Procedure and MDX queries, Report development, SSIS package development, ad-hoc reporting in response to business reporting initiatives.
- Strong logical/analytical skills with a keen ability to anticipate and avoid problems.
