Operations Engineer / DevOps Kwarter - San Francisco, CA, US

About Kwarter
Kwarter builds fun, social, and rewarding mobile experiences to engage viewers and celebrate TV's most powerful moments. We're made up of a diverse, accomplished, and driven group of characters who came together to change the way people watch TV. We are serial entrepreneurs, seasoned engineers, and accomplished media operatives who are all keenly aligned with a common goal: build a business that creates maximum value for our users, our partners, and our employees.

All that stuff is important but, like you, we are not robots. We have feelings! Which is to say sometimes we feel like going out for a team lunch, or going out after work to watch a game together. We're world travelers, chefs, hockey players, pilots, skydivers, actors, wine aficionados, and sports fans. During the week we come together to build Kwarter, and we came to play.

We are funded by a great group of investors/advisors and currently work out of a new office in the heart of downtown San Francisco.

DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Engineer will own everything in our platform ops, from production deployments to automation and performance tuning. In collaboration with the rest of the engineering team, they'll analyze and strengthen our infrastructure to minimize downtime. Appealing candidates will possess expert-level knowledge of Linux, have experience with OpsCode Chef, and hopefully be able to make a contribution to our office-wide turntable.fm DJ sessions. This room needs some fresh tracks!

The goal of the Kwarter engineering group is simple: to  build high-performance systems that support interactive mobile gaming at the scale of national broadcast television audiences.
