This position contributes to Starbucks success by being accountable to drive shipments, share in equity by owning the development and execution of holistic shopper marketing plans at a specific CPG customer. Such holistic plans will enable us to deliver our largest business opportunities with the customer while simultaneously building the brand equities of both Starbucks and the CPG Customer. Model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Business Requirements-Leadership
- Owns the development and execution of holistic & equity building marketing plans at the CPG customer that help deliver our business goals and meet ROI thresholds.
- Manages the Shopper Loyalty Fund budget delivering programs that meet ROI thresholds and stay within stated budgets.
- Collaborates extensively with all key stakeholders connected with Shopper Marketing both internally and externally.
- Owns relationship with key marketing personnel at the CPG customer, establishing Starbucks as a key “go-to” partner in helping them build their business.
- Partners closely with Centralized Shopper Marketing Director and Shopper Marketing Agency to collaborate on plans, needs, etc.
- Partners closely with team based Shopper Insights Manager in identify unique and relevant insights, and helps translate those insights into measurable actions and results.
- Can engage and influence all interested parties when it comes to Shopper Marketing and increases reliance on shopper based plans as a critical tool for decision making.
- Partners with the Starbucks CBD Team Leader to include Shopper Marketing plans as key business drivers within the Joint Business Plan.
- Collaborates closely with sales, category management, shopper insights and license store partners on the team to support Starbucks business opportunities at the CPG customer to include new item initiatives, merchandising planning, category reviews, joint business planning etc.
- Has a deep knowledge of the CPG customer’s business and priorities, their key shopper segments, and assets i.e.) loyalty cards, programs. Leverages this knowledge and integrates this information with Starbucks priorities and assets.
- Supports Shopper-Inspired-Design work and aisle reinvention. Helps implement the reinvention at the CPG customer to bring the Starbucks experience to life in the aisle.
- Is the voice back to Starbucks on relevant CPG customer needs and opportunities.
- Partners with Licensed Store Managers to identify opportunities for integration to support the “one voice” Starbucks strategy.
- Effective and influential when calling on the CPG customer- maintaining strong communication and negotiation skills
Partner Development & Team Building
Providing partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams:
- Challenges and inspires team members to achieve business results.
- Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews.
- Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
- Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.
- Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partners, business and customer results.
Qualification
Summary of Experience
- Brand/Marketing manager with traditional CPG company including at least 3 years focused against shopper marketing (5-8 years)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
